Our festival has a long and proud history. In the decades the festival has been operating there have been many changes, the latest of which is the change to our name from The Memphis Film Festival to The MidSouth Nostalgia Festival. In the near future our website will be moving to reflect this change, and more news regarding that will be forthcoming.
Now, however, is the time we need to farewell our web master, Sue Demetrius, who stepped in when needed most and has kept our website running for a number of years. Her dedication to maintaining this important source of information is greatly appreciated. While she has passed on this role we know her commitment to the festival hasn't diminished and we look forward to seeing her at next year's festival.
A few things you may like to know about the MidSouth Nostalgia Festival:
Our festival is celebrating its 46th year and in that time over 250 different movie and TV personalities have come to the festival. Celebrities appear on panels each day, where you can ask questions, or you can meet your favorite star at their tables in the dealer's room and obtain personally autographed photos. There will be dozens of dealers with movies, TV, DVDs, videotape, toys and other types of entertainment related memorabilia. The people who come to the Festival are very knowledgeable about movies, TV stars, toys, and other collectibles in the field.
We have fans and collectors from all over the U.S.A. and some foreign countries so come join in the fun! On Saturday night you can join us for our celebrity awards banquet where we give out tokens of our appreciation to the celebrities.
